CRN Registration

Pressure retaining components like boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, steam traps, piping systems, and fittings are required to be registered in the province(s) of application/installation. Many companies, even domestic manufacturers, find it hard to deal with the registration process, as it’s complex and significantly varies between provinces. The result of this complicated process is a Canadian Registration Number (CRN) which is issued separately by each province and is governed by Canadian Standards Association CSA B51 Standard.

What we do

Expert registration team at deconeq Engineering Group undertakes the CRN Registrations responsibility for its customers and get their design and/or product(s) registered within reasonable time and cost. We ensure your product meets the requirements of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) and various other design Codes (including TEMA, API, ANSI, NACE, etc.) as mandated by CSA B51.
We take following actions to ensure the validity of our customers’ design.
  • Perform pressure boundary code calculations
  • Perform finite element analysis (FEA) if required.
  • Guide our customers through burst test procedure if required
  • Submit CRN applications to regulatory bodies on behalf of our clients
  • Renew CRNs upon expiry to meet the latest Codes and Regulations
